ABSTRACT

Amidst this uncertain situation of the Covid pandemic happening worldwide, It is necessary to protect the health workers too. Since they are more prone to the dangerous virus than any other. To reduce the risk of virus infection spreading to Health care workers, this paper proposes the concept of wearing a smart Healthwear band, an IoT monitoring device integrated with a mobile application for monitoring the patients with a contact-less mechanism. Healthware is placed on the Covid infected patients which sense the temperature, pulse, and oxygen level of the patient. This was monitored manually before with the equipment present in the hospitals. This Health wear device automatically collects the data of patients and alerts the Nurses and doctors in case of emergencies. This reduces the contact of Healthcare workers with infected patients. This paper briefly describes the working of the IoT enabled healthcare device and the methodology used in detail. The cost of the proposed device is very less compared to other existing systems. © 2022 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

Covid-19 pervaded the entire world very soon after the outbreak, and it is still present and people are still suffering. In a medically advanced world, where technology is futuristic, but the fact that the virus has still caused deaths of over 3 million people all over the world reportedly and over 180 million affected cases. While the governments of all countries have been trying their best to keep the situation in control, and as the virus continues to evolve and keeps evolving, various countries have been engaged in manufacturing vaccines and have even successfully produced them. The only thing left for us to do, is to, at the least, not catch the virus from other people who are already infected. And the way to do that is to practice social distancing. While it is not something normal people can't do, yet in actuality some don't do, for them it becomes more difficult to maintain such social distance when they are outside, on the streets because not everyone is going to practice social distancing, and it is not doable for them to know if someone is standing at a very close distance. The proposed mobile application is going to target this issue and help the visually impaired to maintain social distancing to keep themselves safe in this pandemic. This application will help resolve the issue for visually impaired people by detecting a person on behalf of them, so that they can become alert and do what is required. The main objective of proposed application is to help the visually impaired to maintain social distance without having to rely on other people for help or asking someone to accompany them wherever they go using OpenCV, Yolo v4 for human detection. © 2021 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

Coronavirus is an infectious and deadly disease. The best way to safeguard yourself is by staying at home. But moving out to shops to get daily groceries and some places becomes unavoidable. Wearing a mask, checking temperature, and sanitizing are done manually at most shops and in some personal places. Hence the proposed model allows an entry only after the temperature and mask inspection. Once the condition is satisfied, the person is sanitized and the barricade gets opened. If the person is without the mask, he/she can drop a coin and get a mask. Finally, to maintain social distance, the maximum count of people who can enter the place will be fixed, and if the maximum count is attained, the gateway remains closed. All these processes occur autonomously. This system helps in preventing the spread of disease when the person is out. © 2021 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared as a pandemic all across the world by the World Health Organization (WHO). World lockdown and social distancing has been considered as ideal tools to prevent community transmission. That too, in a country like India which is densely populated, it is very difficult to prevent the community transmission even during lockdown. The people are forced to move out of their houses during this pandemic for emergency purposes. The people moving out during this pandemic situation for unavoidable situations, i.e., to get their groceries, for medical emergencies and so on, have the probability of getting infected by COVID-19. Also in case of some medical emergency, people may take the path which is blocked and return back and again take a different route. The people also does not know whether a particular path is blocked until they travel through the specific path. This might put the life of person in danger. The proposed mobile Android application gives the safest route and notifies the user if the path the user chose is blocked in advance. This saves a lot of time of the user by preventing the user to move, to and fro the blocked areas and then choosing a different route. This application also help those who is forced to move out during for a medical emergency. The proposed Android application helps the people to get updates regarding COVID-19 in their locality and make them feel safe during this pandemic. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
